Kinetic typography

In today’s lecture we have been given another mini project which is to create a piece of kinetic typography and explore and experiment with it. Kinetic Typography is letters or words moving in an animation/video to music or speech. We looked at some examples, including Kyle Cooper, that created motion graphics by hand. ‘Tomato’ (tomato, 1995, UK) is another motion graphic, kinetic typography video which I found the most interesting. Tomato are a collective of artists, designers and musicians.

We are being given the sound track from the Gravity trailer to add our own kinetic typography to. Once I have completed this I am going to find my own sound track to try.
